Scouts - Soccer Competition

On Sunday 15 August, 3rd Kensington hosted the other scout groups of the Eland District in a 6-a-side soccer competition. The event saw cubs and scouts from Kensington taking on 1st Brackenhurst, 1st Germiston and 1st Wychwood in a day of football fun.

The games consisted of two 10 minute halves and the skill of the strikers saw as many as 9 goals in one game. After the round-robin was complete, Brackenhurst 2 took on Wychwood in the one scout semi final, while Kensington versed Germiston in the other. With only 3 cub teams, semi's were not necessary

In the cub final, Wychwood took on Brackenhurst and Wychwood came out on top 4 goals to 2. The last match of the day was the scout final where Brackenhurst 2 overcame Germiston.
